Privacy Policy
Last updated June 10, 2026
Tempora (“Tempora,” “we,” “us”) is an agent-native personal calendar that reads your existing meeting boundaries and places your to-dos into the open work blocks between them. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Tempora is operated by The Socius Company.
Information we collect
- Account identity. When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile identifier from that provider to create and secure your account.
- Calendar data. With your explicit authorization, Tempora reads events from the calendar providers you connect (Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and iCloud). We use these events as blockers — the walls of your week — so the planner can place your work in genuinely free time. When you schedule an item in Tempora, we also create a matching event on your connected calendar so the placed time is visible and held there. We update or delete only events Tempora itself created; we never modify or delete meetings created outside Tempora.
- Synced app state (Google Drive app data folder). If you sign in with Google, Tempora stores a private snapshot of your own Tempora state (tasks, settings, schedule) in your Google Drive’s hidden application-data folder so your data can sync and be restored across sign-ins. This folder is sandboxed to Tempora: we can only access the file Tempora created there and cannot see, read, or modify any of your other Drive files.
- Data you create in Tempora. Tasks, projects, reminders, calendar items, schedules, and settings you enter are stored as your canonical Tempora state.
- Operational data. Standard request logs and analytics needed to run, secure, and debug the service.
How we use information
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To compute your schedule by placing to-dos into open blocks around your real meetings.
- To write items you schedule in Tempora back to your connected calendar as events, and to keep those Tempora-created events in sync when you move or remove the item.
- To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the service.
- To communicate with you about the service when necessary.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your calendar or account data for advertising.
Google user data — Limited Use
Tempora’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, Google user data is used only to provide and improve Tempora’s scheduling features that you request; it is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide or improve those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition; it is not used for advertising; and no humans read this data except with your explicit consent, to comply with applicable law, for security purposes, or to perform internal operations on data that has been aggregated or de-identified.
How we store and protect data
Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database and isolated per user. Calendar provider tokens are stored to maintain your connection and refresh access; provider events are cached only to render and compute your schedule. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Sharing
We share data only with infrastructure providers that operate the service on our behalf (for example, hosting, database, and authentication providers) under obligations to protect it, and when required by law. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect any calendar provider from the app at any time, which revokes Tempora’s ongoing access to that provider. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it. You may also revoke Tempora’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
Tempora is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
